South-West Coastal Path, Dorset.
After about 20 years hunched over a PC, my body told me it was time for some exercise. But not something that entailed machinery in a gym, or lycra.
I was looking for an activity that could be as hard or as easy as I liked, and that would be outside in glorious scenery.
Nordic Walking seemed ideal - it's low-impact and uses most of the body's muscle groups. My back and knees feel better and I walk most days of the week, in Bushy or Richmond Park.
I now teach Nordic Walking in the South-west London area. If you want to learn more about it, or try a taster session, please call me, Peter Young, on 07703-404-931 or email peternotyoung@blueyonder.co.uk
